Pro-choice a) Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?

Yes f) Do you support requiring parental consent before an abortion is performed on a minor?

No h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
I see no Constitutional Authority for any decision on abortion to be made at the Federal Level. It falls under the 10th Amendment and should therefore be a States issue.

Programs that help people get education or assistance to a better job. I do not believe that waste and fraud happen at the local level. These people bring food to others in there homes. They know these people and know their situation. I believe that the fraud and waste are happening farther up the line, before local people get the aide that was sent in by the tax payers.
I promise that if I get any tax decreases or eliminations passed, I will exempt anyone that disagrees with it.

Yes d) Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting?
Yes e) Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls?
I have no contributors and don't expect any. I am not worried so much about the money, but rather the disclosure of where the money actually came from. Seems to me as though we have all these intricate laws about campaign financing when all we really need is 100% disclosure. Makes you wonder what all the lawmakers are trying to hide with their intricate rules?

Yes b) Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders, such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?

Drug prohibition does more to make Americans unsafe than any other factor. Just as alcohol prohibition gave us Al Capone and the mafia, drug prohibition has given us the Crips, the Bloods and drive-by shootings. Consider the historical evidence: America's murder rate rose nearly 70% during alcohol prohibition, but returned to its previous levels after prohibition ended. Now, since the War on Drugs began, America's murder rates have doubled. The cause/effect relationship is clear. Prohibition is putting innocent lives at risk.
Yes a) Do you support reducing government regulations on the private sector?
Yes b) Do you support increased state funding for job-training programs that re-train displaced workers?
Yes c) Do you support expanding access to unemployment benefits?
Yes d) Do you support providing financial incentives to the private sector for the purpose of job creation?
Yes e) Do you support increased spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No f) Do you support providing direct financial assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure?
A free and competitive market allocates resources in the most efficient manner. Each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. The only proper role of government in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide a legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected. All efforts by government to redistribute wealth, or to control or manage trade, are improper in a free society
a) Do you support the national Common Core State Standards initiative?
Yes b) Do you support a merit pay system for teachers?
No c) Is the tenure process for public school teachers producing effective teachers?

Yes e) Do you support state funding for charter schools?
Yes f) Do you support the state government providing college students with financial aid?
No g) Should illegal immigrants who graduate from Montana high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities?
Education is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality, accountability and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Recognizing that the education of children is a parental responsibility, we would restore authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from government. Parents should have control of and responsibility for all funds expended for their children's education.
Yes a) Do you support state funding for the development of alternative energy?
Yes b) Do you support state funding for the development of traditional domestic energy sources (e.g. coal, natural gas, oil)?
Yes c) Do you support state funding for improvements to Montana's energy infrastructure?
d) Do you support state funding for open space preservation?
Yes e) Do you support increasing the means by which hunters may take wolves in order to promote greater management?
Yes f) Should Montana reintroduce bison on public lands?
No g) Do you support enacting environmental regulations aimed at reducing the effects of climate change?
support a clean and healthy environment and sensible use of our natural resources. Private landowners and conservation groups have a vested interest in maintaining natural resources. Pollution and misuse of resources cause damage to our ecosystem. Governments, unlike private businesses, are unaccountable for such damage done to our environment and have a terrible track record when it comes to environmental protection. Protecting the environment requires a clear definition and enforcement of individual rights in resources like land, water, air, and wildlife. Free markets and property rights stimulate the technological innovations and behavioral changes required to protect our environment and ecosystems.
No a) Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
No b) Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows?
Yes c) Should citizens be allowed to carry concealed guns?
No d) Should a license be required for gun possession?
The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights ? life, liberty, and justly acquired property ? against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. I affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. I oppose all laws at any level of government requiring registration of, or restricting, the ownership, manufacture, or transfer or sale of firearms or ammunition.
Yes a) Do you support a universally-accessible, publicly-administered health insurance option?
Yes b) Do you support expanding access to health care through commercial health insurance reform?
Yes c) Do you support interstate health insurance compacts?
No d) Do you support requiring individuals to purchase health care insurance?
Yes e) Do you support monetary limits on damages that can be collected in malpractice lawsuits?
Yes f) Do you support allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes?
No g) Do you support increased restrictions on the production of medical marijuana in Montana?
When it comes to marijuana the evidence is clear. The US Department of Health and Human Services owns a patent# 6630507 which proves the benefits of marijuana. The prohibition of marijuana by the same government makes no sense unless corruption were involved. The restriction of marijuana in favor of high power opiates and other pharmaceuticals needs to end immediately. Prohibition gave us Al Capone, machine gun fights, and bath tub gin. Today's War on Drugs has given us the Crypts, the Bloods, more gang warfare and bath tub meth.
No a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
Yes b) Should same-sex couples be allowed to form civil unions?
No c) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in Montana's anti-discrimination laws?
No d) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in Montana's anti-discrimination laws?
No Government should tell the People how to live, love, work, play, medicate, worship or dream.
Every face represented on Mount Rushmore pursued public office outside the two party system. We all know who is to blame for the mess that Government is in. It's the Democrats and the Republicans. If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. We need to get the problems out of Government by voting the problem makers out of office. Vote Libertarian, Live Free.
